Databricks Developer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Plano, TX.

The ideal candidate is specializing in developing and optimizing production‑grade machine learning pipelines within Databricks.

Rate Range:

$53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Databricks Developer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and optimize end‑to‑end machine learning pipelines in Databricks, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Develop and manage production-grade workflows using Spark SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, and Databricks Jobs/Workflows.
• Implement closed‑loop feedback systems for continuous model improvement and operationalize scalable ML components for data and user onboarding.
• Apply software engineering best practices—version control, containerization, automated testing, and secure‑by‑default configurations—to ensure reliable ML deployment.
• Build reusable backend systems and logging/telemetry frameworks to support GenAI products across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including AI researchers, ML engineers, and product stakeholders, to deliver high‑impact, production‑ready AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or software development, with a strong focus on Databricks and Spark technologies.
• Proven expertise with Spark SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, and Databricks Jobs/Workflows.
• Strong understanding of ML pipeline design, secure‑by‑default engineering practices, and scalable architecture for production-grade AI systems.

Pay Details:

$53\.00 to $60\.00 per hour
