Job Description
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed OT, following all legal and facility standards.
Requirements include NBCOT certification (renewal optional), graduation from an accredited program, and an active state license. New grads are welcome to apply, with CPR certification required upon hire.
The role involves participating in community health projects, collaborating with patients and families, and maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance.
Essential duties include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, utilizing therapy software, providing excellent patient service, and working effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Flexibility in scheduling, ongoing education, mentorship, and a supportive work environment are offered.
