Senior Model Based Systems Engineer

This work is for medium and heavy-duty highway engine and powertrain solutions to capture the system context of how features work, how to leverage new technologies, and develop risk mitigation plans.

What you will be doing:

  • Requirements capture
  • Voice of the Customer translation of the system and then sub-system component requirements
  • Decompsition from system to sub-system and making sure they are correct
  • Collaborating peer to peer
  • Capturing the system context on how features work
  • Facilitate discussions regarding new technologies and risk mitigation plan.
  • Reviewing and creating system requirements for engine, EV, aftertreatment systems, and other related products
  • Apply state of the art systems engineering methodology

What you'll need to be successful:

Essential:

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
  • 5 years plus years of experience in model based systems engineering role
  • Windchill RV\&S/PTC Integrity experience preferred
  • Experience with engine aftertreatment systems
  • Experience with engine (diesel, gas, CNG, or hydrogen)
  • Experience with MBSE and SysML
  • MS office suite solid knowledge is required.
  • Humble, and teachable
  • Effective and collaborative team player
  • Good communicator - written and verbal

Preferred experience:

  • Hybrid vehicle
  • Product Failure Mode Avoidance
