Stone Harbor Group (SHG) seeks a creative, execution-focused Marketing Manager to lead marketing campaigns for conferences, webinars, education programs, and member communications while supporting marketing initiatives for SHG's association clients, with a primary focus on the American Biogas Council (ABC). This role is responsible for owning day-to-day marketing, including management of everything from design to execution while working within an overall identity system and helping elevate the organization's event marketing through continuous improvement, creativity, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within an identity system and in some cases help develop visuals for marketing new events or programs that are distinct but work within the overall identify system.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for conferences, webinars, training, and membership initiatives.
- Write compelling email marketing copy tailored to each audience and have a call to action.
- Manage the email and social media marketing calendar, approvals, scheduling, deployment and performance reporting.
- Maintain and segment marketing audience lists to ensure communications are targeted appropriately and campaigns reach the right audiences.
- Create branded graphics using Canva and other design tools while working within an identity system.
- Collaborate with external creative agencies and marketing partners to develop new marketing assets, strengthen event branding, and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Measure and manage the performance of marketing collateral and recommend adjustments to increase performance and conversions.
- Research and recommend new marketing best practices, technologies, and creative approaches to continually improve campaign performance and audience engagement.
- Create, schedule, and manage social media content that supports conferences, webinars, education programs, membership initiatives.
- Support the Events team with marketing-related initiatives and collaborate across departments to ensure successful planning, promotion, and execution of SHG client events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and design skills.
- Three to five years of experience in marketing, preferably supporting conferences, events, associations, or nonprofit organizations.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about mission-driven work and combines a strong corporate work ethic with a commitment to maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
- This is a fully remote position. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works independently, communicates effectively, collaborates well with a remote team, and proactively engages the appropriate team members when needed.
- Excellent digital communication skills balanced with the knowledge of when to pick up the phone
- Experience with email marketing platforms, campaign analytics, and performance reporting.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience with HTML email editing, Canva, SalesForce, and AI-assisted design tools preferred.
- Experience in association, nonprofit, or event marketing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new marketing technologies, tools, and best practices.
WORK COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary commensurate with experience. We are open to individuals with a wide variety of marketing experience. A six-month review is conducted with salary adjustments based on merit. Annual merit increases and promotions are based on mutual employee and supervisor performance reviews

Requirements \| Location
The position requires a time commitment of 40 hours per week. Stone Harbor Group's operating hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although these hours are flexible.
This position works remotely, so you must have reliable internet and phone access, and be able to use chat features like text, Slack, etc.
