Job Description

The Director of Engineering will serve as the leader for strategic oversight, capital planning, and execution for the company's assets across all plant locations. This role is responsible for all Engineering related aspects related to the company's operations supporting both strategic and tactile initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

:

  • Responsible for leading the capital budget and delivery of capital projects for the company while maintaining accountability for department.
  • Oversight of all engineering related activities as required by Operations for all plant locations.
  • Acts as liaison to Operational leadership while ensuring all plant equipment or assets are performing as expected.
  • Leads and directs team members, acts as point of contact between inter-company parties, identifies roadblocks, and executes on company strategy in an engineering or capital projects capacity.
  • Works with outside vendors in conjunction with other inter-company parties to analyze scopes of work, maintain compliance with internal controls, and acts in the interest of the company to secure best pricing as needed.
  • Builds scalable project documentation, modeling, or reporting to allow growth of the company while maintaining transparency and reporting expectations.
  • Reports or presents capital expenditure budget metrics to executive team, senior leadership, or other departments as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

:

  • Degree in Engineering related field, or equivalent experience required. Masters degree preferred.
  • 10 years experience in capital projects, engineering, manufacturing, industrial project management, or similar roles. Mining industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of onsite assets, automation controls, and process or reliability planning.
  • Significant experience in project management, project engineering, construction engineering, or similar roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers/scanners, and smartphones.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol
  • Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
