Senior Project Manager

opportunity based in Sydney.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who brings:

• 5\+ years’ experience

in a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager role within

civil construction ideally in Sydney

• A

degree in Civil Engineering

or a related field

• A valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency in

Microsoft Office

; experience with Microsoft Project is a bonus

• Strong communication and commercial skills
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to engage across all levels, including clients and consultants
• Strong people management skills
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with the confidence to lead and work independently

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning to close-out
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and procurement plans
• Coordinate resources, materials, plant, and labour to meet project milestones
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
• Implement and monitor site safety and environmental management plans
• Oversee contract administration and scope management
• Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
• Conduct regular project reporting and client liaison
• Lead and mentor project teams, including performance reviews and training
• Chair internal and external meetings to ensure alignment and progress
• Resolve subcontractor disputes and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure QA documentation is complete and submitted on time
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Maintain compliance with enterprise agreements and workplace reform
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold Ward’s values and standards
