Senior Project Manager
opportunity based in Sydney.
About You
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who brings:
- 5\+ years’ experience
in a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager role within
civil construction ideally in Sydney
- A
degree in Civil Engineering
or a related field
- A valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
; experience with Microsoft Project is a bonus
- Strong communication and commercial skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to engage across all levels, including clients and consultants
- Strong people management skills
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with the confidence to lead and work independently
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning to close-out
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and procurement plans
- Coordinate resources, materials, plant, and labour to meet project milestones
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
- Implement and monitor site safety and environmental management plans
- Oversee contract administration and scope management
- Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- Conduct regular project reporting and client liaison
- Lead and mentor project teams, including performance reviews and training
- Chair internal and external meetings to ensure alignment and progress
- Resolve subcontractor disputes and manage supplier relationships
- Ensure QA documentation is complete and submitted on time
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain compliance with enterprise agreements and workplace reform
- Drive continuous improvement and uphold Ward’s values and standards
