Operations Business Analyst

Job Summary Operations Business Analyst (Property \& Casualty Insurance, Lean Six Sigma Required)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of current operational processes; document workflows and identify inefficiencies.
• Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and workflow diagrams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, departments, and IT to align on process changes and project goals.
• Lead or participate in process audits and evaluate effectiveness of implemented changes.
• Provide training and support to team members on new processes.
• Use business acumen to identify service-impacting issues and recommend improvements.
• Develop project scope, plans, business cases, and status reports.
• Assist in testing (UAT), implementation, and monitoring of process changes.
• Measure and report KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.
• Utilize project management tools to drive and support projects.

Skills \& Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in a related field.
• 5\+ years experience in business process analysis and project management.
• Strong knowledge of P\&C insurance operations.
• Proficiency in process mapping/modeling and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to train, mentor, and support colleagues.
• Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret and present complex data to stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma required).

Preferred

• Experience with project and change management methodologies.
• Familiarity with data analytics/visualization tools.
• Minimum two years of project experience in insurance operations.

Note:

The ideal candidate will have a balance of strategic and tactical experience (not too junior or too senior), with a hands-on approach and the ability to drive operational improvement within a P\&C insurance environment.
