Business Analyst - AI Technology - Global Hedge Fund

A global hedge fund that has spent years building a serious data and technology foundation is now at the stage where AI moves from experiment to genuine operating advantage. This role sits at the seam between the business and the people building it: part analyst, part project manager, fully accountable for turning ambiguous ideas into AI initiatives that ship and actually matter.

About the Role

You'll work across the investment, technology, and operations teams to identify where AI and ML can move the needle, then drive those projects from first conversation to delivery. That means translating what portfolio managers and business leads actually need into clear requirements, keeping engineers and data scientists pointed at the right problem, and owning timelines, scope, and stakeholders along the way. You should be as comfortable whiteboarding a workflow as you are chasing down the detail that makes or breaks a launch

What we're looking for

• 4\+ years in business analysis, technical project management, or a similar role bridging business and engineering teams
• A real working understanding of AI/ML – what's feasible, what isn't, and how these projects actually get built
• A track record of shipping technology projects end to end, with genuine ownership of scope, timeline, and stakeholders
• Sharp written and verbal communication – you can speak to a quant and a trader in the same meeting and lose neither
• The instinct to operate with ambiguity and bring structure to it, rather than waiting for someone to hand you a spec

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial services, trading, or another data-intensive environment
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, and a working fluency with SQL or data platforms
• Experience standing up AI/ML workflows or data products from the ground up
