Position Overview
JMC is seeking a motivated and experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys travel, and can successfully manage short-duration projects from start to finish.
Our projects are typically 8–10 weeks in duration and require strong field leadership, coordination, and communication skills to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and daily site operations
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
- Maintain a safe job site and enforce all safety protocols
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams
- Track daily progress, document site activity, and report updates
Qualifications
- 5\+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Proven ability to manage short-duration, fast-paced projects
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly (project-dependent)
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore experience preferred)
- OSHA certification preferred
