Job Description
Why Should You Apply?
At Tristel, you'll step into a role where your ideas directly shape how a growing, mission-driven company tells its story. You'll bring the story of a disruptive, FDA-cleared infection prevention technology to leading healthcare institutions across the United States — with the creative freedom and executive access to make a real, visible impact on patient safety and company growth
About Tristel
Tristel is a UK-based manufacturer of innovative infection prevention products and a global leader in the category, listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM: TSTL). Built on a proprietary chlorine dioxide (ClO2) chemistry, our products help protect patients and healthcare workers from infection in hospitals worldwide.
Tristel Inc. is our US subsidiary, established in 2023 to grow Tristel's business across the USA, Canada, and the wider Americas region, with operations based in Boston, MA. Tristel Inc. has a portfolio of FDA-cleared, novel disinfectants that improve efficiency and healthcare outcomes, and the team is growing quickly to keep pace with strong demand from leading healthcare facilities.
The Role
We're looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing communications for Tristel Inc. across the US market. You'll be the storyteller for our brand in North America — translating clinical, technical, and commercial messages into compelling content that resonates with hospital decision-makers, clinicians, and distribution partners.
This role reports directly to the President of Tristel Inc. Because our US team is small, you'll work closely with leadership day to day — sharing ideas, hearing directly about what matters most to the business, and helping shape where marketing focuses next. While the Boston team is small, you won't be working in isolation: you'll have access to Tristel's global marketing function and creative design resources based in the UK, giving you the strategic input and creative support of a much larger team.
Tristel Inc. sells through a combination of a direct sales team and distribution/business partners, so you'll need to develop marketing communications and strategies that work across both channels — supporting our own sales team directly while also equipping and aligning with external distribution partners.
This is a genuine opportunity to make a real difference to Tristel Inc.'s growth in the USA. It's a market we're especially excited about — what we build here also helps momentum in Canada, Latin America, and beyond. If you like the idea of your work having that kind of reach, and you're creative and self-motivated, this could be a great fit.
Social media — and LinkedIn in particular — is a major focus of this role. A large share of US healthcare professionals in our target audience are active there, and we want someone who can build a genuine, engaged presence for Tristel Inc. in that space.
What You'll Do
● Partner directly with the President to shape marketing communications priorities in line with company strategy and commercial goals
● Develop and execute integrated marketing communications strategies and campaigns supporting Tristel Inc.'s commercial goals across hospital, medical device, and healthcare channels — from strategic planning through to execution
● Own and grow Tristel Inc.'s social media presence, with a particular focus on LinkedIn as the primary channel for reaching US healthcare professionals, clinicians, and hospital decision-makers
● Create content across digital, print, email, and event materials — including product literature, case studies and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) testimonials, website content, email campaigns, and conference collateral
● Shape the messaging, content, and marketing strategy for Tristel Inc.'s presence at key industry conferences, including APIC, AAO, and AAO-HNS
● Coordinate PR, media relations, and award submissions to build brand awareness within US healthcare and infection prevention communities
● Partner closely with the direct US sales team to develop sales enablement materials and campaigns that support pipeline growth
● Develop and manage co-marketing communications and strategies with distribution and business partners, ensuring consistent messaging and effective joint go-to-market execution
● Align US marketing communications with global brand guidelines and messaging developed by the UK marketing team
● Track and report on marketing communications performance, using data — including SEO and digital analytics — to refine messaging and channel investment
● Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed
What You'll Bring
● Proven experience in marketing communications, corporate communications, or public relations
● Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
● Demonstrated success in creating engaging LinkedIn content for a business audience
● Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take initiative
● Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop complete marketing communications campaigns from concept through execution, not just individual content pieces
● Experience developing marketing strategies and communications for both direct sales teams and distribution/channel partners
● Comfort working close to leadership in a small-team, subsidiary environment, while also collaborating with a global marketing and creative team
● Familiarity with marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management platforms
● Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM-based email marketing platforms) for building and running email campaigns
● Working understanding of SEO and digital analytics, and how to use them to inform content and channel decisions
● Curious, creative, and confident in generating new content ideas
● Strong relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills
● Comfortable working in a small team where flexibility and ownership are valued
● Genuine interest in healthcare and infection prevention
● Highly self-motivated, with the drive to build programs from the ground up and take ownership of results
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
● Experience managing PR activities or working with external PR agencies
● Experience marketing to clinical or hospital audiences
● Experience working within a publicly listed or global matrix organization
● Familiarity with regulatory considerations around medical device marketing claims (FDA-regulated environment)
What We Offer
● The chance to build and shape the US marketing communications function for a growing global business
● Access to global marketing and creative design resources and expertise, despite being part of a small local team
● A high-visibility role with real influence on Tristel's ambitious US growth targets — and, by extension, on our success in Canada, Latin America, and beyond
● Hybrid working from our Boston office (at least 3 days per week in-office)
● Competitive salary, based on experience
● Medical, dental, and vision insurance
● Life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage
● 401(k) plan with employer match up to 4%, fully vested immediately
● 25 days of PTO per year (vacation and sick time), increasing with tenure, plus paid standard holidays
● The opportunity to work on a mission that genuinely improves patient safety
● Exposure to a global business and collaborative colleagues across the UK, US, and beyond
