Job Description
Role description.
Our partner is hiring a Senior UI Engineer to translate sophisticated backend architecture and intricate logic into elegant, high-performance web applications for a high-performance enterprise cybersecurity platform. Your work directly dictates how users interact with the ecosystem, turning technical capability into intuitive, lightning-fast, and trustworthy digital experiences, and your commitment to pixel-perfect execution and front-end performance will directly influence market adoption and customer success. You will architect, build, and optimize scalable, component-driven front-end applications with modern React and TypeScript, connect those interfaces to GraphQL APIs with efficient state management and rendering performance, and partner closely with UI/UX designers to convert high-fidelity wireframes into modular, reusable components. This is a senior individual-contributor role that also carries technical-leadership weight through constructive code reviews, comprehensive technical documentation, and mentoring on front-end best practices. Success in this role typically looks like: within the first 3 to 6 months, you have shipped meaningful front-end functionality, are familiar with the codebase and the design system, and are partnering effectively with the design, backend, and DevOps teams; within the first 12 months, you own one or more front-end surfaces end-to-end, are recognized as a senior UI-engineering voice on cross-cutting initiatives, and have meaningfully raised the bar on performance, component architecture, or design-system practice on at least one major surface.
III
— RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities.
- Architect, build, and optimize scalable, component-driven front-end applications utilizing modern React and TypeScript.
- Deliver seamless, highly responsive layouts tailored perfectly for diverse form factors, ranging from mobile displays to massive enterprise monitors.
- Partner closely with UI/UX designers to convert high-fidelity wireframes into modular, reusable components and maintain a robust design language.
- Connect front-end interfaces with GraphQL APIs, focusing heavily on efficient state management, data caching, and rendering performance.
- Coordinate with backend engineering and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure production deployments.
- Drive engineering excellence through constructive code reviews, comprehensive technical documentation, and mentoring team members on front-end best practices.
- Debug complex client-side issues and continuously optimize web applications for maximum speed and rendering efficiency.
- Maintain and evolve the design system, contributing reusable components, patterns, and documentation that scale across the product.
- Champion accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and semantic, standards-based markup across the front-end surfaces you own.
- Author component documentation, design-decision notes, and front-end runbooks on the surfaces you own.
- Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, including code-review craft and senior-engineer mentorship.
- Help shape responsible adoption of AI-assisted developer tooling on the engineering team, including LLM-based code-generation and AI-assisted code-review tooling.
IV
— REQUIREMENTS
What we’re looking for.
- 5 or more years of dedicated front-end/UI engineering experience in a commercial environment (7 or more years highly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency with React and TypeScript, backed by a deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6\+), semantic HTML5, and advanced CSS3\.
- Practical experience managing complex application state using tools such as Apollo Client, Redux, or similar frameworks.
- Proven track record of debugging complex client-side issues and optimizing web applications for maximum speed and rendering efficiency.
- Hands-on experience connecting front-end interfaces to GraphQL APIs with efficient state management, data caching, and rendering performance.
- Demonstrated ability to convert high-fidelity wireframes into modular, reusable components and maintain a robust design language.
- Habitual use of Git version control, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with distributed cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
V
— ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility requirements.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Willing and able to work in the client's San Jose, CA office five days per week.

VI
— WHY JOIN
Why join us?
You will join a highly funded, rapidly growing cybersecurity platform company at a stage where the front-end decisions you make have direct, durable impact on how Fortune 500 security teams experience the product they already trust. Your commitment to pixel-perfect execution and front-end performance will directly influence market adoption and customer success. The capital position is strong, the founding team has deep category experience, the engineering and AI leadership is drawn from leading technology companies, and the in-house applied AI research function operates at the leading edge of agentic AI. The engineering culture rests on four pillars our client has been deliberate about: ownership and leadership (engineers make decisions and own outcomes), mentorship and growth (learn from category-experienced operators and work at the frontier of AI and cybersecurity), collaboration and inclusion (diverse perspectives that challenge the status quo and fuel innovation), and impact mindset (every line of code contributes to shaping the future of enterprise security). The hiring process is structured and respectful of your time: an initial conversation with the Silpa recruiting partner to align on background and motivations, an interview with engineering leadership to discuss role context and prior work, a technical interview focused on React and TypeScript depth and front-end system design, and a final loop of 3 to 4 interviews covering coding, UI/component architecture, and team fit, followed by reference checks and offer. Compensation is materially equity-and-bonus weighted with highly competitive base salaries, meaningful equity options, and the kind of upside profile that draws senior front-end engineers in the Bay Area cybersecurity-and-AI market.
