The GO Project helps New York City public school students thrive in the earliest stages of their education through year-round academic, social-emotional, and family support.

Position Description

The Reading Interventionists will support up to 4 students 3 times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from October 2026 through May 2027 using the SIPPS model. GO Project will provide training on implementation of SIPPS.

Qualifications

• Approximately two or more years of demonstrated success as a 3-8 interventionist or educator with remarkable student growth and/or achievement results
• Experience implementing SIPPS is preferred, but not required
• An unshakable conviction that all people can learn and grow when appropriately supported and challenged to reach their highest potential
• Sense of responsibility over students’ growth and ownership over achievement results
• Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative student data to inform instructional decisions
• Strong commitment to professional and personal growth
• Fluency using Microsoft Suite and zoom
• Access to reliable, stable high-speed internet is required and is a mandatory condition of employment for this role

Time Commitment: Intervention is conducted remotely, after school between 4:30 - 7:30 ET on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between October and May, following the NYC DOE calendar for school breaks. Dates below.

Compensation: $32 per hour

Applicants unavailable between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm will only be considered for on-call roles.
