Role Description

The Electrical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems for oil and gas and turbomachinery projects, including power distribution and power systems for facilities and equipment. Daily responsibilities include preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications; reviewing vendor documentation; and ensuring designs comply with industry codes, safety standards, and client requirements. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams, supporting project managers with technical input, and assisting in cost estimates and schedules. The Electrical Engineer will also provide field support during construction, participate in system testing and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools and standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design for industrial facilities and equipment.
  • Candidates should possess experience with Power Distribution systems in oil and gas or similar heavy industry.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Power Systems analysis, protection, and reliability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; PE license or eligibility is a plus.
  • Experience in oil and gas, turbomachinery, or industrial EPC projects is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, power system modeling tools) and familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, clear technical communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and on-site environments.
