Civil Engineer

This position focuses on infrastructure projects, particularly tunnels and roadway systems, and offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, multicultural environment.

The role is ideal for an early-career engineer (3-4 years of experience) who can support project delivery across multiple disciplines, including coordinating with design teams and participating in field activities and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of civil infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and general civil works.
• Coordinate with internal teams (geotechnical, structural, and hydraulic) to ensure design consistency and integration.
• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to support construction activities, evaluate field conditions, and document findings.
• Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Support project managers with coordination, scheduling, and follow-up tasks.
• Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoad to support project development and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with FDOT or similar Department of Transportation projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoad.
• EIT certification required; progress toward a PE license is preferred.
• Willingness to participate in fieldwork and site inspections as needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
