[High pay/Full Remote/Unlimited PTO] Senior Quality Assurance Engineer — Trading Systems

This is an elite tier Start-up that is being backed by major financial institutions. They are building infrastructure and products at the frontier of decentralized technology. The work is technically demanding, highly user-facing, and increasingly important as the category matures.

We can’t say much publicly about the company or product yet.

We can say this:

You’ll work directly on core product experiences, influence frontend architecture, and own meaningful problems from first principles through production.

The environment is fast, highly autonomous, and engineering-led. Small team. High trust. Very little bureaucracy.

You’ll own:

• The automation strategy across API and E2E

• Testing of trading flows, execution logic, pricing, fees, and edge cases

• High-throughput and failure-mode testing

• Test environments, datasets, and CI reliability

• Quality standards and release criteria

• Working directly with Engineering and Product to make complex systems testable

The stack includes:

TypeScript · Playwright · API automation · CI/CD · Load \& stress testing

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5\+ years of QA experience, ideally in fintech or complex web products

• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills

• Deep API testing experience

• Experience testing transactional or financial systems

• A strong understanding of execution, liquidity, slippage, routing, and fees

• The instinct to think about what breaks before users find out

• Candidates already located in Japan, with Japanese communication skill a strong plus

• Experience working at popular local or big tech companies (e.g: Mercari, Line, Smartnews, Indeed, Amazon, Google etc.)

Bonus: Web3/blockchain experience, AI-assisted development (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.), or startup/scale-up experience.
