Location:

About the Role
We are looking for a
Senior Project Manager/Quality Manager
to lead supplier readiness for new automotive product launches across Europe. This is a hands-on role, combining
project management
with
supplier quality and process assurance
, from supplier nomination through to 90 days after start of production.
The company is a
leading European automotive supplier
working with major OEMs and producing high-quality components for mechanical, electrical, and assembly applications. You will manage suppliers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
This role requires up to
50% travel
to supplier sites across Europe. Days in Belgium will focus on reporting, planning, and aligning with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full APQP lifecycle from concept to production launch
- Develop and maintain APQP timing plans aligned with customer milestones
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing)
- Monitor supplier readiness, perform audits, evaluate risks, and follow up on corrective actions
- Facilitate key APQP deliverables, including: PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and PPAP submissions
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, support production ramp-up, and lead launch readiness reviews
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal teams on progress, issues, and actions
Requirements
Education \& Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5–10\+ years of experience in
Automotive
, mechanical manufacturing, tooling, or assembly line preparation
- Proven
project management
and
quality management
experience
- Supplier auditing experience (VDA 6\.3 advantage)
Technical Skills:
- APQP \& Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans)
- PPAP \& Customer Submission processes
- Project Management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Competencies:
- Strong personality, integrity, and ethics

- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- Risk management and problem-solving abilities
Languages:
