The Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned Fractional Chief Information Officer to join our Solutions and Consulting Business Unit. This role provides strategic technology leadership on a part-time basis. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to define and execute a scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology roadmap aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and cross-functional leadership, with experience guiding organizations through growth, transformation, and operational scaling.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs and challenges and develop tailored digital strategy solutions.
- Lead and manage large-scale consulting projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes within deadlines and budget.
- Engage with Private Equity value creation teams, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring best practices in product and program management are followed.
- Deliver outstanding presentations and effectively communicate complex ideas to a range of stakeholders.
- Travel extensively to client sites for consultations, strategy sessions, and project management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, continually enhancing our consulting offerings.
- Define and drive the company’s technology strategy and roadmap, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and core systems performance.
- Optimize the technology stack for scalability, efficiency, and cost control.
- Lead initiatives such as cloud migration, automation, and AI adoption to drive growth and efficiency.
- Establish and enforce cybersecurity, data governance, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Lead internal teams and external vendors while managing key partnerships and supporting future team scaling.
Requirements
- 15\+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including prior experience as a CIO, VP of IT, or senior technology leader.
- Proven track record of developing and executing IT strategy in growing organizations.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern SaaS ecosystems.
- Experience leading digital transformation and system implementations.
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Exceptional skills in digital strategy consulting, product management, and program management.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a fractional, consulting, or advisory capacity.
- Background supporting startups, SMBs, or PE-backed companies.
- Exposure to AI/ML initiatives, data platforms, or advanced analytics.
- Experience across multiple industries (e.g., SaaS, eCommerce, media, fintech).

Important Notes
- The annual compensation range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000 USD.
- This role involves travel.
- This is a remote position and can be filled by candidates located on the U.S. East Coast or the Midwest only.
