Position Overview

The Supply chain Manager plays a key role in ensuring products are consistently available to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient and reliable warehouse operations. This position is responsible for translating high-level business goals into actionable plans and driving execution across warehouse and logistics functions. The Distribution Operations Manager sets performance expectations, KPIs, SOPs ,aligns teams to operational targets, and ensures service standards support overall sales objectives.

This role also involves leading both unionized and non-unionized teams, developing supervisors, and building a high-performing operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control and oversee warehouse loading activities within a high-volume facility
  • Oversee Profit \& Loss (P\&L) for transportation, fleet operations, and warehouse loading functions
  • Strengthen manufacturing and warehouse capabilities through coaching, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and execute short- and long-term operational plans aligned with business objectives
  • Ensure consistent product availability while optimizing warehouse productivity and supporting national inventory programs
  • Drive improvements in asset utilization, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards
  • Develop team capability through effective hiring, training, communication, and employee engagement practices
  • Maintain full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications \& Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or Sales or distribution operations
  • At least 2-3 years of leadership or management experience
  • Budget accountability
  • Background in consumer packaged goods (CPG) is a great asset
  • Proven ability to develop and implement KPIs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams
  • Proficient in computer systems and operational tools
