Senior Software Engineering in Test (Python)

About The Role

Our client develops advanced medical devices and software solutions used in blood and plasma collection, transfusion medicine, and diagnostic testing. These products help healthcare professionals improve patient care by providing accurate, reliable, and efficient diagnostic and blood management solutions.

The Senior SDET Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for desktop applications, web interfaces, backend services, and medical device integrations. The position has a strong emphasis on Python-based desktop automation while also covering web UI and REST API testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build scalable automation solutions, improve test coverage, and ensure the quality and reliability of innovative healthcare products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automated test frameworks using Pytest.
• Create and maintain automated tests for desktop applications, web interfaces, and REST APIs.
• Validate end-to-end workflows, system integrations, and interactions between software and medical devices.
• Improve automation architecture, test coverage, execution efficiency, and CI/CD integration.
• Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and troubleshoot automation and integration issues.
• Execute system, integration, and verification testing activities.
• Report, track, and verify defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate with customer stakeholders on a daily basis.

Requirements

• 4\+ years of experience in test automation development using Python and Pytest.
• Strong hands-on experience with desktop application test automation using Python.
• Experience with desktop automation frameworks such as Squish, pywinauto, pytest-qt, or similar tools.
• Solid knowledge of web UI automation using Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with REST API test automation.
• Strong understanding of object-based UI automation, synchronization techniques, and test framework design.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience working with AWS.
• Knowledge of SQL for test data validation.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
