Technical Business Analyst

I’m recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join an established organisation.

This is not a traditional requirements-gathering BA role. We need someone who can work confidently across business and technical teams, understand how systems and data behave, and turn business problems into requirements that developers can act on.

You’ll be involved in:

• Writing user stories, acceptance criteria and technical requirements
• Using SQL to analyse and validate data
• Understanding APIs, integrations, schemas and data contracts
• Working with developers, architects, testers and product teams
• Investigating system issues and validating outputs against source data
• Supporting projects from initial requirements through testing and delivery

We are not looking for a developer, but you will need enough technical understanding to discuss databases, APIs, backend services, integrations and data flows confidently.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience as a Technical, Systems or Data Business Analyst
• Practical SQL experience
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations
• Agile delivery experience
• Strong stakeholder and requirements-management skills
• Power BI or D365 experience would be useful
• This should suit someone who enjoys understanding how systems actually work rather than simply documenting what users ask for.
