Job Description

We are exclusively representing a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer seeking to strengthen its engineering leadership.

The position is highly visible across the business's product line and carries full engineering responsibility with a mechanical focus.

Our client produces manchinery of high complexity involving physical processes that enable semiconductor manufacturing, therefore candidates need to come from a background involving complex products. Semiconductor experience is not required.

A summary of the responsibilities is below:

  • Align mechanical engineering activities with the product roadmap and business strategy
  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and professional development support.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with automation and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate to develop testing procedures and quality control measures
  • Work together to streamline production, improve manufacturability, and resolve mechanical issues.

A summary of the required skillset is below:

  • 7\+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing.
  • 3\+ years of leadership experience, managing mechanical engineering teams.
  • Strong experience in semiconductor, automation, or high-tech equipment design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar).
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis tools for structural and fluid dynamics simulations.
  • Strong understanding of materials selection, mechanical tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of ISO, CE, and other industry compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and machining processes, if applicable.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in mentoring engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across multiple departments.
