Speech Pathologist-Elementary Education

Speech-Language Pathologist position available for

SY26/27

Qualifications:

• Professional license in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
• License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

• Experience with PreK-middle school age children
• Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with other staff
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities:

• Administer appropriate assessments for initial evaluations and reevaluations
• Participate in IEP meetings
• Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
• Provide individual or group therapy for identified students, as indicated by the IEP
• Write triannual progress reports
• Maintain accurate records for all students on caseload
• Conduct informal observations and provide recommendations for students of concern
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and staff
• Maintain positive communication with parents
• Attend weekly in house professional development workshops

• Maintain ongoing knowledge of current research-based methods and state regulations in the field of speech-language pathology
• Participate in school wide activities/events
• Cover lunch and recess when needed
• Performing additional duties as requested by the Support Services Director or the Executive Director

Salary based on experience and teacher salary scale
