Job Description
Speech-Language Pathologist position available for
SY26/27
Qualifications:
- Professional license in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with PreK-middle school age children
- Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with other staff
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Responsibilities:
- Administer appropriate assessments for initial evaluations and reevaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives
- Provide individual or group therapy for identified students, as indicated by the IEP
- Write triannual progress reports
- Maintain accurate records for all students on caseload
- Conduct informal observations and provide recommendations for students of concern
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and staff
- Maintain positive communication with parents
- Attend weekly in house professional development workshops
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of current research-based methods and state regulations in the field of speech-language pathology
- Participate in school wide activities/events
- Cover lunch and recess when needed
- Performing additional duties as requested by the Support Services Director or the Executive Director
