Onkor is an early-stage healthtech company based in Portland, Oregon, building MiLA , the Medical Intelligence \& Learning Automation platform. MiLA is an AI-powered prior authorization and revenue cycle management (RCM) solution purpose-built for multi-site specialty practices, with an initial focus on orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery groups.

Job Summary

We are seeking Medical Strategic Advisors who bring deep relationships and credibility within specialty healthcare , whether as a physician executive, practice operator, revenue cycle leader, or PE-backed group executive. This is a relationship-first role. Your network is your product.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your existing relationships with practice administrators, COOs, CFOs, and billing leaders to facilitate introductions to qualified prospects
  • Serve as a credible voice for MiLA within your professional network — orthopedic, spine, neurosurgery, and adjacent specialty groups
  • Participate in strategic advisory calls (estimated 2–4 hours/month) to provide feedback on product direction, pricing, and market positioning
  • Support the Onkor leadership team with insights on payer dynamics, RCM workflows, and specialty practice pain points
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategy for target segments, including PE-backed practice consolidators and independent multi-site groups
  • Provide guidance on key partnership channels, including billing companies, EHR vendors, and device reps

Ideal Background

  • Physician executive or Medical Director — an MD or DO currently or formerly holding an administrative leadership role (Chief of Surgery, Managing Partner, Medical Director) at an orthopedic, spine, or neurosurgery group; peer-to-peer credibility with surgeon decision-makers is a significant differentiator
  • Healthcare operator — practice administrator, COO, or VP of Operations at a multi-site specialty group with purchasing authority or direct access to it
  • RCM or billing industry professional — leader at a specialty billing company or healthcare revenue cycle firm with existing practice relationships

PE-backed group executive — operating

Compensation

  • 2-year advisory agreement. Equity Based, with a potential of revenue share after one year.
