Civil Engineer

Britt, Peters \& Associates is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Greenville, SC office. Responsibilities include the design of facilities-related sites in support of a variety of markets including Commercial, Education, Industrial, Institutional and Retail/Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have 4\+ years of civil engineering experience, project management experience, solid technical skills, and client development/relationship expertise.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, creation and maintenance of small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Conduct or participate in on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up plans that satisfy technical specifications
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
• Oversee and mentor more junior staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
• Coordinate with AHJ and utility providers for permit approvals

Requirements

• Proven working experience in civil engineering
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as Civil3D, Hydraflow, Bluebeam and SEDCAD
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
• Project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Licensed professional engineer preferred
• BS/MA in Civil Engineering
