Job Description
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals, particularly damped harmonic motion, and enjoys solving complex problems where requirements may be incomplete or evolving. This role blends analytical engineering, hands-on design, customer interaction, and collaboration across internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of complex dynamic energy management systems, including springs, dampers, and isolators
- Analyze system inputs, responses, and performance using principles of statics, dynamics, kinematics, strength of materials, and fluid mechanics
- Interpret customer application requirements and recommend engineered solutions, often with limited initial data
- Perform detailed, bottom-up mechanical design for custom components
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including designs, analyses, and test results
- Support bids, proposals, and project execution activities
- Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams
- Assist with project planning, budgeting, and execution
- Utilize CAD and CAE tools for design and simulation
- Travel occasionally to support programs and customer engagements

- CAD:
SolidWorks (3D modeling and detailing)
- CAE:
MSCOne (or similar FEA/FEM tools preferred)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks)
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
