Head of Engineering

🚀 We're Hiring: Head of Forward Deployed Engineering for one of our Client in San Francisco

We're looking for a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead customer implementations, build scalable deployment practices, and shape the future of an AI-first platform. This is a unique player-coach leadership role where you'll work directly with customers, solve complex technical challenges, and influence product direction.

🔹 What You'll Do

✅ Lead end-to-end customer implementations from discovery through deployment and scale

✅ Build and operationalize AI-driven testing and automation solutions in production environments

✅ Own Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Value (PoV) engagements with measurable outcomes

✅ Establish implementation best practices, delivery standards, and scalable deployment playbooks

✅ Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing Forward Deployed Engineering team

✅ Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer stakeholders to drive adoption and business value

✅ Translate customer feedback into product improvements and repeatable implementation patterns

✅ Stay hands-on with coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving

🔹 What We're Looking For

✔ 8\+ years of experience building and shipping production software

✔ 4\+ years of engineering leadership experience

✔ Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript

✔ Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and software quality practices

✔ Experience working directly with enterprise customers in technical delivery environments

✔ Strong project execution and stakeholder management skills

✔ Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments

🔹 Technical Expertise

• System Architecture \& APIs

• CI/CD \& DevOps Practices

• Test Automation Frameworks

• End-to-End Testing (Playwright or similar tools preferred)

• Production Troubleshooting \& Reliability Engineering

🔹 Nice to Have

➕ Experience in QA Automation or Quality Engineering

➕ Experience with AI-powered products or agent-based systems

➕ Experience building Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering functions
