, you will play a key role in ensuring strong financial control, delivering high-quality reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver detailed analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by investigating and resolving discrepancies within the general ledger
  • Review and validate key reconciliations, including payroll and intercompany balances
  • Support financial reporting, budgeting processes, and external audit requirements
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial controls, policies, and continuous improvements

Ideal Experience \& Skills:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and technical accounting, including IFRS
  • Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and draw meaningful insights
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems and reporting tools

Security Clearance Requirement:

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
