Job Description
Overview
A global awards business in the media and events sector is hiring a Growth Marketing Manager on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based in London, with two to three days a week in the office and the remainder remote. The salary is £32,000 to £35,000, with a company performance bonus, plus 25 days holiday (and a day for your birthday) and a pension.
This role exists because the business needs someone who can close the gap between audience interest and commercial action. Across a portfolio of six awards programmes, the job is to find the right people, build the case for entering, and convert that interest into entries - from both existing customers and new names. The business has strong content assets already in place, genuine openness to new tools, and a small team where you'll have direct access to senior leadership. If you're a B2B marketer who gets energised by the combination of data, creative thinking, and measurable commercial outcomes, this is a role where you'll have real ownership and a clear scorecard.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a global marketing strategy aligned with commercial growth targets
- Build and manage campaigns designed to reach new audiences and generate leads across the awards portfolio
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve how the business attracts, engages, and converts potential customers
- Develop and manage email marketing campaigns using audience segmentation to drive engagement and entries
- Work closely with the SEO specialist to use search and customer journey data to inform wider marketing activity
- Manage content and marketing journeys across the website
- Build partnerships with media outlets, PR companies, and industry associations to extend reach
- Manage third-party suppliers including photographers, videographers, and other specialists
- Contribute to the development of the brand across all channels
Requirements
Must-haves:
- Minimum three years' B2B marketing experience, ideally in media, advertising, events, or technology
- Proven track record developing campaigns with measurable outcomes
- Experience with LinkedIn and paid digital channels
- Strong email marketing and audience segmentation skills
- Comfortable using marketing, CRM, and analytics tools to track and improve performance
- Strong copywriting across digital, email, and social channels
- Data-led approach to improving activity
Nice-to-haves:
- Photo and video editing skills
- Experience marketing awards, events, or subscription products
What Success Looks Like
- Measurable growth in entries from existing customers across the portfolio
- A strong pipeline of new business entries from names not previously in the customer base
- Email and digital campaigns that demonstrably move people from awareness to action
- Clear improvement in conversion at the bottom of the funnel, not just top-of-funnel reach
Team and Culture
- Small, close-knit team where ideas are genuinely welcomed and senior access is real, not theoretical
- Reporting directly to the Chief Festival Officer, with the ability to collaborate across the wider team
- A library of strong video and written content already available to build on
- Open to new tools and approaches - you won't be fighting to try things
Challenges
- The product requires a real commitment from the customer: entering an awards programme takes time and effort, not just a click. Converting genuine interest into a completed entry is the hardest part of this job, and the person who thrives here understands conversion, not just awareness.
- Six awards programmes running in parallel means campaigns need to work across different audiences simultaneously, which demands strong prioritisation and organisational discipline.
- This is a small team without a large marketing function behind it. You'll need to be self-sufficient, comfortable making calls without a playbook, and confident owning the outcome.
