Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Federal Contractor Contracts Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of contract management for federal government projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, managing contract negotiations, and maintaining robust documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, vendor management, legal drafting, and contract administration, driving strategic growth and operational excellence for our organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts, including drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of contractual agreements. Ensure tracking of contract deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), U.S. UCC law, and other relevant legal standards.
- Oversee contract procurement processes, vendor relationships, and contractor management to optimize purchasing strategies. Strong knowledge of federal contracting principles, including FAR, DFARS, GSA Schedule, and other contract vehicle management .
- Maintain meticulous records of all contracts using document management systems including tracking financial status by CLIN/SubCLIN.
- Conduct detailed contract reviews to identify risks, opportunities for change management, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Lead negotiations with vendors and contractors to secure favorable terms while fostering strong professional relationships. Previous negotiation experience on teaming agreements; familiarity with joint venture structures.
- Support business development efforts through proposal compliance review, pricing strategies, and strategic planning initiatives. Skills
- Extensive knowledge of federal procurement processes and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, legal drafting, and document review within a government contracting environment. Strong vendor management skills with the ability to manage multiple contractor relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in document management tools.
- Expertise in compliance management related to UCC law, intellectual property law, and research regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills complemented by strategic planning and business development capabilities.
- Ability to manage change effectively within dynamic project environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- The role requires quarterly in-person travel for team meetings, client engagements, or other business purposes as directed.
Qualifications
35 years of experience in federal contract management; GovCon experience required. Professional certification strongly preferred: CFCM, CCCM, or CPCM. Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance if required.
