About the Role

The

Manager, Purchasing \& Services

leads the centralized purchasing and inventory management function for all DHL eCommerce locations across the U.S. This role oversees procurement operations for supplies, IT equipment, inventory, and special‑order goods while partnering closely with AP, GBS, Compliance, and Distribution Center leadership to drive accuracy, cost savings, and process efficiency. You will manage a procurement team, oversee vendor relationships, ensure data accuracy within COUPA and SAP, and support enterprise‑wide purchasing governance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the procurement team responsible for purchasing activities for corporate offices, distribution centers, and IT hardware.
• Oversee supplier relationships, including pricing negotiations, contract management, and issue resolution.
• Validate and approve supplier invoices; partner with AP to address vendor set‑up, invoice discrepancies, and payment inquiries.
• Ensure accuracy of purchasing data, GL/cost centers, and catalogs within the COUPA e‑Procurement system.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and training on SAP/MM and COUPA to facility teams.
• Reconcile monthly inventory, conduct root‑cause analysis on supply issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Prepare reporting for leadership and manage additional procurement‑related projects as needed.
• Hire, train, and mentor Procurement Specialists.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in purchasing and procurement processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with SAP required; SAP/MM and COUPA strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Work Environment \& Travel

• Professional office environment with regular sitting, standing, and walking.
• Occasional travel up to 10%.
