Job Description

Biobot Surgical U.S. Inc. is seeking a Field Clinical Application Specialist to introduce a robotic-assisted MR Ultrasound fusion technology for prostate procedures in North America. The position works closely with the sales team and clinicians by providing clinical applications of the technology during case support in the operating room and the clinic setting. The Field Clinical Application Specialist is seen as a trusted clinical applications and technical solutions expert by the sales team and clinicians. This role requires someone who can work in a team environment and build strong relationships with the sales team, the physicians, and the medical staff.

This position will report to the Field Clinical Application Manager.

Clinical Case Support, Product Education and Training

  • Provide case support to clinicians during new product evaluations.
  • Provide case support with existing customers/accounts.
  • Successfully train the clinician and clinical staff to adopt the system and perform cases independently.
  • Be actively involved in the continuous improvement of the training program.
  • Educate and update customers through in-servicing training, literature, videos, and articles approved by the company.
  • Collaborate with field service engineers and sales representatives to support customers on new installations, clinical case support, and new customer onboarding.
  • Maintain knowledge of the product and clinical procedures.

Support Sales Activities

  • Provides pre-sales and post-sales support that requires product and clinical expertise.
  • Coordinate and support product evaluations with the sales representative.
  • Onboard new accounts and drive utilization of the technology.
  • Support trade shows, seminars, and workshops. Provide product presentation/demonstration.
  • Establish relationships with all pertinent account players, including patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, and the sales representatives supporting these accounts.
  • Transfers account knowledge and other requested information to the sales team.

Customer Service and Support

  • Respond to customer needs and complaints with urgency regarding products and services.
  • Update the sales team and notify them immediately regarding issues or problems requiring follow-up.

Administrative Support and Compliance

  • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
  • Must maintain company quality standards.
  • Provide clear and accurate documentation of each site visit via a standardized reporting mechanism within 48 hours of completion of the visit.
  • Identify and report all adverse events and device deficiencies to Medical Safety per company protocol.
  • Provide feedback to R\&D on the clinical performance of products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. B.S. Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, and Biosciences.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in applying new technological solutions in a clinical environment.
  • Must have experience working with clinicians in an operating room or clinic.
  • Must be familiar with hospital procedures and protocol.
  • Must have experience training and supporting medical staff and physicians on medical procedures.
  • 3\+ years of clinical case support experience.
  • 3\+ years of medical device technology experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 90%, and on weekends at short notice.
  • Ability to conduct company business outside the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm work schedule.
  • Must be flexible for calls outside of normal business hours and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 35-45 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations.
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to evaluate a situation, and prioritize factors in decision-making.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency, work effectively under pressure, and be able to multi-task.
  • Strong work ethic as an individual and on a team.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external shareholders.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.

Compensation

· Compensation will be determined based on:

  • Cost of living in the established territory
  • Candidate’s number of years of medical device experience

Pay: $55,000\.00 - $65,000\.00 per year
