Financial Analyst (Equity-to-Salary)

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Analyst who thrives in early-stage environments. You’ll own financial projections, set up and run core finance operations, and partner directly with founders on investor materials and fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and iterate on the company’s financial model and projections
• Stand up accounting workflows: bookkeeping, reconciliations, expense tracking, month-end close
• Own payments infrastructure: set up and manage Stripe and payout flows end to end
• Configure products, pricing, taxes, invoicing, subscriptions, refunds, and disputes
• Manage AP and creator/vendor payouts with clear controls and audit trail
• Implement cash management and runway tracking with scenario analyses
• Establish revenue recognition and GAAP-compliant policies appropriate for stage
• Create KPI dashboards and cohort/unit economics reporting for leadership
• Partner with founders on pricing strategy, incentives, and experiments
• Prepare investor materials: metrics pack, investor decks, data room docs
• Support and participate in fundraising: outreach research, pipeline tracking, diligence responses, and meeting prep
• Coordinate with legal and banking partners on accounts, compliance, and contracts
• Drive continuous improvements across finance tools, processes, and controls

Qualifications

• 5\+ years of experience in FP\&A, accounting, or similar analytical finance roles
• Must have direct experience supporting fundraising at a startup
• Proven experience creating investor decks and core finance documentation
• Strong modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets. SQL a plus
• Working knowledge of GAAP and early-stage accounting best practices
• Hands-on experience with Stripe and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Ramp/Brex/Divvy
• Experience designing pricing structures and incentive programs is a plus
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building from zero to one
• Excellent communication skills and executive-ready writing and visuals

Nice to have

• CPA and/or CFA, or equivalent experience
• Marketplace, fintech, or creator-economy experience

Base Pay: $72,054\.61 - $86,775\.44 per year
