Position Overview

Our client is a vertically integrated

real estate developer

delivering end-to-end solutions across development, construction and investment. The

Financial Controller

will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations in a hands-on capacity. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and maintaining strong internal controls. In addition, the Financial Controller will oversee cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, and contribute to financial planning and analysis. This role will provide meaningful financial insights to senior leadership, enabling informed strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping and transaction processing
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports (Profit \& Loss, Balance Sheet, and cash flow)
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Perform and review reconciliations (bank, customer, and supplier)
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT filings
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and service providers
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize financial performance
  • Support management with financial modeling and ad hoc analysis
  • Assist with additional finance-related tasks as required

Qualifications \& Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong experience with accounting systems (SAP Business One is an advantage)
