Job Description
JOB DUTIES:
- This position is ideal for the technical leader who enjoys code architecture and has the vision and desire to guide concepts from inception to fruition.
- Duties include architecting, developing, and verifying manageability firmware running in an embedded RTOS, for use in dense server platforms.
- The manageability firmware will be productized in reference designs as well as ODM designs and will be utilized by internal debug teams, validation teams, and customer teams.
- Strong contenders will combine technical prowess with vision regarding manageability to maximize scalability across platforms and lessen time to market.
- Programming in C and assembly.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Prior work experience in developing firmware for system management controllers required, particular interest in candidates with experience in IPMI, DCMI and SMASH standards;
- Experience in performing integration with platform, BIOS and OS components;
- Experience in developing in embedded Linux OS, FreeRTOS experience will be considered over others;
- Programming skills with C and assembly;
- Ability to work with hardware debugging tools such as JTAG, I2C bus analyzers and scope is preferred;
- Demonstrable debugging skills;
- Experience in working on Agile and milestone driven product development;
- Experience in source control and build management, preferred.
