Job Summary

This position supports daily cafeteria and kitchen operations, ensuring excellent customer service, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Food Service plays an essential role in delivering safe, high-quality food service to hospital patients, visitors, and staff. Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and serve food and beverages in cafeteria and kitchen settings
  • Set up, stock, and maintain food stations for meal service
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and kitchen spaces
  • Operate dish machines, trash compactors, and perform routine cleaning (e.g., mopping floors)
  • Follow all HACCP and food safety guidelines
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve service concerns professionally
  • Monitor inventory and report shortages or issues to leadership
  • Assist with food prep and support overall cafeteria operations
  • Participate in sanitation projects and maintain department standards
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members
  • Attend department meetings, trainings, and in-services as required
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English (role dependent)
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to push carts and handle food service equipment safely
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Adheres to organizational service and safety standards (I CARE values)
