Job Summary

Performs a variety of food service duties to support the safe preparation, assembly, and delivery of meals for patients, visitors, and staff.

Ensures a clean, efficient, and customer-focused environment while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and deliver patient meal trays accurately and efficiently
  • Set up, stock, and maintain tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen stations
  • Prepare basic food items for meal service and support kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and service stations
  • Operate dish machines, handle waste removal, and perform general sanitation tasks
  • Clean and reset stations, equipment, and floors after meal service
  • Monitor supplies and report shortages or concerns to supervisors
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs promptly
  • Support department goals related to service quality and operational efficiency
  • Assist with training and cross-training of team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to read menus and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to push carts and transport food and supplies

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior food service experience preferred
  • Onsite role in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift
  • Schedule includes rotating shifts, evenings, and weekends
