Forward Deployed Scientist
$170,000 - $210,000 base \+ bonus \+ equity
United States (Remote with travel)
An AI-driven technology company building advanced decision intelligence platforms used to support complex strategic planning and large-scale operational decisions.
The company develops software that combines data, AI, and modeling to help organizations understand complex tradeoffs, evaluate scenarios, and make better long-term decisions. Their platform brings together predictive models, simulation, and optimization to replace fragmented analysis with scalable, software-driven intelligence.
This Forward Deployed Scientist will help shape the core intelligence layer of the platform. The role sits at the intersection of AI research, product, and engineering, leading the design of systems that combine predictive modeling, simulation, and optimization to support high-impact decision making.
What You’ll Do
- Lead development of decision intelligence systems combining predictive modeling, simulation, and optimization
- Apply advanced methods including discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo methods, agent-based modeling, and stochastic optimization
- Translate complex real-world problems into scalable AI systems and products
- Own projects from research through production deployment
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver production-ready solutions
- Influence platform-level AI architecture and technical strategy
- Mentor and guide other data scientists and engineers
What You’ll Bring
- Strong expertise in simulation and optimization techniques such as DES, Monte Carlo, stochastic optimization, and agent-based modeling
- Experience delivering AI systems from research to production
- Knowledge of causal modeling, causal discovery, and Bayesian optimization
- Strong Python and AI system development experience
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams
