About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing organization, specializing in the food production sector. This pivotal role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and electrical systems to ensure seamless production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and circuit design, along with mechanical expertise, to support the continuous and efficient functioning of our manufacturing equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will collaborate closely with production staff to identify equipment needs, perform preventive maintenance, and respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns. Your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills will directly impact our operational efficiency, safety standards, and overall product quality.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing or production environments.
• Proven expertise in electrical systems, PLC programming, circuit design, and mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment repair techniques.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in manufacturing settings.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for teamwork.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Capacity to work under pressure, including during emergency situations and night shifts.
• Relevant technical certifications or degrees are preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment operates at peak efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, performing repairs to minimize production disruptions.
• Interpret technical instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to execute maintenance tasks accurately.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment requirements and plan maintenance schedules accordingly.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, providing immediate solutions to restore operations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Stay informed about technological advancements and industry best practices to recommend process improvements.
