About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Front End Developer I to join our dynamic IT team in Jacksonville, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing features, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or a related field from an accredited institution. Significant hands-on experience or a compelling portfolio demonstrating involvement in at least three web applications will be considered in lieu of formal education. Candidates must showcase their role in each project, highlighting how their contributions added value through front-end development. Essential skills include a basic understanding of the software development lifecycle, especially Agile methodologies, proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React and Redux. Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS, cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, version control systems like Git, and REST API integration are highly desirable. Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under supervision are critical for success in this role. Candidates must also be able to obtain necessary security clearances when required.

Responsibilities

The Front End Developer I will be responsible for translating UI/UX designs into functional, high-quality code that delivers optimal user experiences.
