Front-End Engineer

who turns complex systems into intuitive, fast, and beautiful interfaces — someone who obsesses over UX detail, design clarity, and product flow.

You’ll work directly with the founders and product team to craft the experience layer of Mage AI — the AI-native data operating system used by thousands of teams to build, automate, and scale AI.

What You’ll Do

• Own the front-end of Mage AI’s core platform — build rich, responsive UIs for pipeline creation, orchestration, and AI workflows.
• Translate complex systems into seamless visual experiences that make data engineering accessible to everyone.
• Collaborate deeply with design, product, and backend teams to ship fast, scalable, and consistent interfaces.
• Implement reusable systems: components, state management, theming, and animation frameworks that elevate the entire product.
• Optimize for performance and clarity — build UIs that load instantly and feel invisible.
• Experiment and iterate — prototype new features, test with users, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with modern web tech.
• Champion design quality — raise the visual and interaction bar across the product.

Who You Are

• Strong experience in React, TypeScript, and modern web tooling.
• Proven ability to design and implement highly interactive, production-grade interfaces.
• Deep understanding of state management, data visualization, and performance optimization.
• Eye for design systems, motion, and UX flow — you care about pixels, not just code.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup where ownership is high and feedback loops are tight.
