In this position you will…

...play a key role in building and evolving modern e-commerce solutions used by international customers across the bolttech Group. You will design and develop scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern architectural approaches including Astro SSR and Magento PWA Studio. Working closely with backend engineers, QA specialists, designers, analysts, and technical leaders, you will drive technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions, and ensure high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability. This role offers end-to-end ownership of frontend features, direct impact on product development, and the opportunity to mentor less experienced developers while helping shape frontend engineering practices.

You will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing UI components using React 19 and TypeScript for large-scale e-commerce platforms.
• Developing frontend applications using Astro SSR and Magento PWA Studio architectures.
• Building and maintaining a type-safe GraphQL data layer integrated with Magento 2 APIs.
• Optimizing application performance through SSR hydration improvements, code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals enhancements.
• Implementing and evolving design system components using Storybook and Tailwind CSS.
• Integrating frontend applications with payment solutions including PayU, Apple Pay, and BLIK, as well as PIM systems such as Akeneo.
• Developing and maintaining automated tests across multiple layers, including unit, end-to-end, accessibility, and monitoring tests.
• Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions.
• Collaborating with developers, testers, designers, analysts, and DevOps engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitoring production environments and supporting application reliability and performance.
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Taking ownership of frontend solutions from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

You will require the following qualifications and skills:

• 4\+ years of commercial experience developing applications with React, including large-scale e-commerce solutions.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, including strict typing, generics, and type inference.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL, including queries, mutations, cache management, and code generation tools.
• Practical experience with Tailwind CSS and responsive UI development.
• Strong understanding of component-driven architecture, modular design, and reusable design systems.
• Experience with state management solutions such as Nanostores, Zustand, Context API, or similar.
• Knowledge of form management and validation using React Hook Form, Zod, or comparable solutions.
• Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization, including SSR, hydration strategies, Core Web Vitals, code splitting, and lazy loading.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions and/or Azure Pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in modern deployment environments.
• Experience supporting and monitoring production applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Astro (SSR, Islands Architecture, Fastify adapter).
• Experience with Magento PWA Studio (Venia, Peregrine, Talons).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and WCAG best practices.
• Experience with Redis-based caching strategies.
• Understanding of SEO principles in SSR environments.
