Frontend React Engineer (Mandarin Speaking)

You will work closely with product stakeholders, designers and cross-functional teams to build and continuously improve user-facing applications using

TypeScript, React and Next.js

.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and maintain modern web applications using

React, TypeScript and Next.js.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other engineering teams to improve application usability and user experience.
• Develop applications based on designs, mockups and prototypes, while also contributing your own ideas to improve the product.
• Integrate applications with

REST APIs, GraphQL and third-party libraries.

• Implement authentication and authorization solutions such as

OAuth and JWT.

• Optimise frontend applications for

speed, scalability and performance.

• Monitor and troubleshoot frontend performance and browser-related issues.
• Participate in

code reviews

, providing and receiving constructive technical feedback.

• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Prepare technical documentation where required.
• Contribute to technical discussions, meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Keep up to date with emerging frontend technologies and development best practices.
• Ensure applications maintain high standards of

UI quality, design consistency and brand experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Frontend Developer or Software Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with

TypeScript, React and Next.js.

• Good understanding of the complete web development lifecycle from

design and development through testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts.
• Good understanding of frontend performance optimisation.
• Experience with

Git and GitHub.

• Exposure to

CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in using AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Bolt.new, Cursor, Windsurf) to enhance development productivity.
• Comfortable working with designers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A good eye for

UI layout, usability and design consistency.

• Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of responsibility and good working attitude.
