Job Description

Joygame, founded in 2009 and titled Turkey's first gaming company, supports talented gaming studios both in terms of financing and knowledge. It develops and publishes many games that have achieved great success in international markets. Reaching millions of players with different products in pc, mobile and NFT game categories, Joygame aims to provide entertainment experiences to players across all continents with local content.

We are looking for a Game Designer for our Madbyte Studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on Zula (Competitive MMOFPS) and new game project (CO-OP TPS Extraction Shooter).
  • Deconstruction of similar game's mechanics
  • Collaborate with different teams and different pipelines; such as character design, gameplay, UI-UX teams, to iterate and tweak the game systems of our game.
  • Interact with artists, programmers, and other team members to implement the systems and features.
  • Tweak, modify or redesign features as needed to ensure a healthy and fun gameplay.
  • Working in sync with management, developers and art team to ensure that intended experience is being created during development.
  • Involve different production pipelines as a designer to make sure that everything goes according to high level design strategy and vision.

Qualifications:

  • 3\+ years of game design experience
  • Passionate consumer of competitive FPS and CO-OP games
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Experience with task management tools. (Jira, ClickUp, Notion etc.)
  • Experience with designing complex game systems.
  • Basic understanding of programming logic.
  • Good analytical thinking skills.
  • Discipline to self-manage, self-criticise and self-evaluate.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Sufficient proficiency in written and spoken English.

The following will be considered as a plus.

  • Proficiency in game economy tools and economic modelling tools (e.g. Machinations).
  • Knowledge of the Steam market and current trends.
  • Experience in large-scale game projects.
  • Experience in live games.
  • Having launched a Steam game before.
