We’re looking for an experienced GCP Data Solution Architect to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to shape modern cloud data platforms, lead architecture decisions, and deliver scalable data solutions that support critical business outcomes. About the Role

· Design and architect end-to-end data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.

· Develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines with strong focus on resilience, observability, and performance.

· Lead data platform migrations and initiatives from legacy or on-premise environments to GCP-native services.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data models, optimise query performance, and support analytics use cases.

· Support deployment and operational excellence using GCP DevOps tooling such as Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Logging.

· Contribute to change management activities, including cutover planning, rollback strategies, CAB processes, and production release governance.

What You’ll Bring

· Strong hands-on experience in solution architecture and data engineering on Google Cloud Platform.

· Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation frameworks such as dbt.

· Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including schema design, partitioning, clustering, and optimisation.

· Experience with migration planning, risk management, and production cutover in enterprise environments.

· Ability to work effectively with engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders in complex transformation programs.
