Faster Rent a Car is looking for an experienced,

data-driven General Accountant

to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support timely month-end closing in compliance with UAE regulations.

We are looking for someone who can work independently with financial data, extract information directly from ERP systems, and effectively use modern tools such as AI — while ensuring that every figure is properly verified.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle

general accounting and General Ledger (GL)

activities.

• Prepare and post

journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments

.

• Manage the

month-end and year-end closing process

.

• Perform

bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations

.

• Reconcile

rental contract revenues with the operational/ERP system

.

• Manage

accounts receivable, aging reports, collections follow-up, and customer balances

.

• Monitor

credit card deposits and security holds

.

• Calculate and maintain

fleet depreciation

and analyze the

cost and profitability of individual vehicles

.

• Prepare financial reports and

variance analysis

.

• Support

UAE VAT (5%) and Corporate Tax (9%)

compliance and reporting.

• Coordinate with auditors and provide required supporting documents.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in

Accounting or Finance

.

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE

.

• Strong knowledge of

general accounting, GL, reconciliations, and month-end closing

.

• Advanced

Microsoft Excel

, including

Power Query, PivotTables, and XLOOKUP

.

• Strong experience with

ERP systems

;

Odoo knowledge is preferred

.

• Basic

SQL knowledge

with the ability to write and run basic queries independently.

• Practical use of

AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude

for reconciliation, analysis, and productivity, with a clear understanding of the need to verify outputs.

• Experience in

car rental, leasing, automotive, limousine, equipment rental, or another asset-intensive industry

is a strong advantage.

• CMA or ACCA

is a plus.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in

Arabic and English

.

Salary:

AED 6,000 – AED 8,000

Practical Assessment:

Shortlisted candidates will complete a

90-minute practical assessment using business data

, covering accounting, reconciliation, Excel/data analysis, and problem-solving.
