Primary Responsibilities
Facility Engineering Leadership
- Serve as Greene Tweed's corporate subject matter expert for facility infrastructure and building systems
- Provide technical guidance related to HVAC, utilities, fire protection, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure
- Support facility assessments and long-range infrastructure planning
- Provide technical evaluations and recommendations for major facility investments
- Develop and maintain enterprise facility engineering standards and design guidance
- Develop enterprise asset lifecycle and infrastructure replacement strategies
- Develop and maintain facility infrastructure data, including utility capacities, to support long-term planning and capital investment decisions
Capital Program Leadership
- Lead the corporate capital governance process
- Coordinate the annual capital planning cycle
- Monitor capital portfolio performance, identify execution risks, and work with manufacturing sites to improve project outcomes
- Facilitate monthly capital portfolio reviews with manufacturing sites
- Coordinate executive reporting and portfolio analytics to support capital investment decisions
- Provide guidance and coaching to manufacturing sites during project development and execution
- Champion continuous improvement of the corporate CAPEX governance process
Site Engineering Partnership
- Partner with Manufacturing Site Leadership on infrastructure planning and major facility investments
- Provide technical reviews of significant capital projects
- Assist with equipment selection and infrastructure planning
- Support implementation of FM Global recommendations
- Share engineering best practices across global sites
- Support strategic facility planning while recognizing the unique operational requirements of each manufacturing site
Infrastructure Risk Management
- Coordinate Greene Tweed's relationship with FM Global on facility engineering matters
- Support facility risk assessments and infrastructure resilience planning
- Develop replacement strategies for aging facility infrastructure
- Participate in technical audits and engineering reviews
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline
- 10\+ years supporting industrial manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated expertise with industrial building systems and infrastructure
- Experience leading capital projects and facility improvements
- Strong knowledge of industrial utilities, facility engineering, and infrastructure planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across manufacturing, engineering, and corporate functions
Preferred
- Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) knowledge
- Global manufacturing experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent engineering credentials
- Knowledge of industrial building codes, life safety systems, and engineering standards
- Experience working with FM Global or similar industrial property risk engineering organizations
