We are seeking an energetic and experienced Global Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our global procurement strategy. This role is critical in managing and coordinating the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that our company obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and economic value.
  • Lead the global procurement process across all categories, ensuring the best value for the company.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Drive change management initiatives to improve procurement processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
  • Create and manage the procurement department budget.
  • Review and manage the supply chain to ensure it is efficient and effective.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role.
  • Proven experience in managing a global procurement strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Proven history of effective supply management.
  • Able to manage vendor relationships.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
  • Comfortable with figures and collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Strong understanding and experience with change management processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
