What We Look For In a GMAT Tutor

• Advanced Test Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of GMAT Focus Edition sections including Quantitative Reasoning covering algebra, arithmetic, geometry, and word problems, Verbal Reasoning covering reading comprehension and critical reasoning, and Data Insights covering data sufficiency, multi-source reasoning, graphics interpretation, and two-part analysis. Ability to explain adaptive scoring and percentile rankings for MBA admissions.
• Strategic Test-Taking \& Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching data sufficiency strategy, critical reasoning argument analysis, and quantitative problem-solving efficiency for GMAT. Guides students through evaluating answer sufficiency without solving, identifying argument assumptions and flaws, interpreting complex data displays, and managing time within the sixty-two-minute section format. Emphasizes strategic time allocation and accuracy maximization on adaptive sections.
• Curriculum Awareness \& Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with GMAT Focus Edition format and common challenges such as data sufficiency logic, pacing across sections, and interpreting multi-source data sets. Adapts instruction using official GMAC practice exams, question-type specific drills, and adaptive score tracking. Requires minimum GMAT score of 650 to support students targeting competitive MBA program admissions.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
