pragmatic, secure, and scalable Google Cloud solutions
that can be confidently handed off to delivery teams.
Solution Architects operate at the intersection of
cloud architecture, platform engineering, and delivery planning
. They ensure solutions are technically feasible, aligned with enterprise standards, and positioned for rapid execution—without requiring excessive upfront design. This role supports a portfolio of initiatives focused on
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
, including infrastructure modernization, data platforms, application migration, and DevOps enablement.
Key Responsibilities:
Intake \& Requirements Translation

- Networking, identity, and security design
- Design and implement
GCP landing zones
aligned with best practices for:
- Scalability and resilience
- Security and compliance
- Governance and cost management
- Determine appropriate design depth:
- “Just enough” architecture to begin delivery
- Iterative refinement as implementation progresses
- Decide when initiatives require:
- Proofs of Concept (POCs)
- Phased migration approaches
- Direct progression to build and production
Platform \& Feasibility Assessment
- Evaluate proposed solutions against:
- Platform readiness and maturity
- Security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Operational and support considerations
- Recommend viable
on‑premises to GCP migration strategies
, including rehost, refactor, and re-architect approaches.
- Provide input into:
- Delivery sequencing and workstream definition
- Technical complexity and risk assessment
- GCP service selection and architectural tradeoffs
Delivery Enablement \& Technical Leadership
- Serve as the
technical handoff point
to delivery teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps leads to:
- Clarify architectural intent
- Adjust designs based on implementation realities
- Resolve technical blockers
- Support implementation of:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Monitoring, logging, and operational best practices
- Optimize GCP environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Cross-Team Collaboration \& Practice Development
- Work closely with:
- Client leadership and technical teams
- Internal delivery, platform, and security teams
- Business development and pre-sales teams
- Support proposals, technical discovery sessions, and client presentations related to GCP solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants on:
- GCP technical best practices
- Cloud architecture fundamentals
- Effective client engagement
- Contribute to practice and Center of Excellence initiatives by sharing:
- Patterns, accelerators, and reference architectures
- Lessons learned and delivery insights
Required Experience \& Skills:
Technical \& Platform Expertise
- 5–10\+ years of experience in IT architecture or engineering roles, with a strong focus on
cloud computing and GCP
.
- Hands-on experience leading
on‑premises to GCP migration initiatives
, including assessment, planning, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of core GCP services, including:
- Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage
- Networking, IAM, and security services
- Proficiency with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
tools such as Terraform.
Solution Engineering \& Architecture

- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
- Comfort operating with incomplete or evolving requirements.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud operations.
Communication \& Influence
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading technical discussions, influencing architectural decisions, and aligning multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed.
Nice to Have
- GCP Professional Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).
- Scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with enterprise compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO, PCI).
