Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and versatile Graphic Designer to support branding, marketing, and event-related initiatives on a part-time or contract basis. This role is ideal for a self-motivated designer who can take projects from concept to completion, transforming ideas into polished visual assets across both digital and print platforms.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality creative work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design marketing and brand assets across digital and print channels, including social media graphics, email campaigns, flyers, presentations, proposals, event collateral, and promotional materials.
- Develop and maintain brand identity systems, including logos, typography, color palettes, templates, and design guidelines.
- Create event-related materials such as banners, programs, signage, name badges, stage graphics, and wayfinding assets.
- Adapt designs across multiple platforms while ensuring brand consistency and visual integrity.
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and strategy teams to bring campaign concepts to life.
- Prepare production-ready files and coordinate deliverables for printers, vendors, and external partners.
- Manage revisions efficiently and meet project deadlines, including occasional fast-turnaround assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional or freelance graphic design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, marketing, social media, layout, and print design work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- Experience with Canva and/or Figma is a plus.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and deliver polished, production-ready designs.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting events, conferences, or live activations.
- Motion graphics, animation, or short-form video editing experience.
- Knowledge of print production processes and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with community-focused or culturally intentional creative work.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required for consideration.
